Government to mandate the iot security standards


One can clearly tell a problem that has been around for too long when the government starts talking about to solve it when it comes to IOT, similarly IT security is one of those problems which seems that in the rush to develop faster and smarter IOT devices one important aspect was left Behind which is known as security. Although most of the developers consider security is one of the most important factors when designing iot devices certain aspects of the internet of things are lagging behind and one of them is the infrastructure that is needed to make this device truly secure. Another is the level of knowledge among the general public about how to secure an insecure such kind of iot devices are. There have been no governmental guidelines on what is the appropriate level of security for these devices. Fed’s recent proposal follows the introduction of several pieces of similar legislation which work done both in California and the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom government is already moving forward with new iot security that tries to cover every device consumer uses. Every manufacturer of an internet-connected device but also put reasonable security features in that place so as to protect the device and any information contained therein from unauthorized access or grant destruction use modification or any disclosures should be well informed to the public. The password data used by its devices should be unique to every device and manufactures should provide a public point of contact for users.
