Insomnia65 broadcasts charity partners for the Birmingham event

Following its securing of a shocking £10k at Insomnia64, the gaming festival has joined forces with 2 charities, U.K. Guide Dogs, and SpecialEffect, when talking about NEC.

The charity SpecialEffect, is focused on adding enjoyment and inclusion into the lines of individuals having some form of physical disability by aiding them in playing video games.

SpecialEffect has been taking momentous steps with their innovative equipment made to cater to evey individual’s needs. The game changing equipment includes altered gaming controls and also visual-controlled systems.

One of the managers of Insomnia65, Phil Crawford, stated how the company believes each and every individual must get an opportunity to enter the gaming world and see what it has to offer, which is why they have teamed up with some great charity organizations.

He added how they people at Insomnia65 hope that the idea behind a charity such as SpecialEffect will appeal to all video gamers and make them want to contribute to the thoughtful cause.

After securing £3,350 for the charity at the Insomnia64, the gaming festival will also be backing the U.K. Guide Dogs.

The dogs at the U.K. Guide Dogs charity will be present at the festival which is set to take place in August. From the money collected, a very special puppy’s training has been promised.

There will also be a battle in coming up with names for the sponsored guide dog.

At the gaming festival which took place in April, the chosen name for the guide dog was Winston, after a character in the beloved Overwatch.

Phil stated how the company had worked alongside the U.K. Guide Dogs for the last 10 tournaments and that they are more than pleased with the partnership.
