The latest news which attracted the media & the world is the latest happening in North Korea. There are reports of North Korea generating nearly two billion dollars to fund its nuclear weapon requirements. It is estimated that North Korea has done this against financial institutions and cryptocurrency exchanges all around the world. The technology and search engines of North Korea are very different than those of the rest of the world. Still, North Korea has expertise in performing such operations. One instance happened back in 2014 when a group of people from North Korea who identify/call themselves as “Guardians of Peace”, hacked the data of a reputed company known as Sony entertainment. The hackers leaked sensitive information from the studio including the personal details of the employees, unreleased copies of Sony films. This happened when Kim (President of North Korea) was interviewed by some US reporters. The hackers then utilized the “Shamoon wiper malware” to remove Sony’s computer infrastructure. The cyber capabilities of North Korea were never an issue in comparison to other countries but we never know how they can surprise us with their arising cyber skills which are now harming everyone. The only question remaining is on the integrity and ethics of cyber world which should be followed by each and every country, it becomes the responsibility of each and every country to put regulations and high tech security to protect the personal interest of every internet user. Will North Korea be able to justify the actions done in the past and present?
