Recently in Spain, the majority of people suffered from hacking and data stealing. A group of cybercriminals with an aim to perform fraud and gain money, they scammed more than 300 people across Spain. As stated in Morocco world news, these cybercriminals were successful in stealing more than €1 million within a year. This was illegally done through the purchase of cryptocurrencies. It all began in 2018 when few of the people whose systems were hacked they filed a complaint against this mishappening. The complaints were of some fraudulent online purchases and illegal money withdrawal from ATMs. The method or the trick which was used by these criminals was never found. They used an open Wi-Fi network to send their fraud emails. Customers’ important account details were taken by them. The Spanish police arrested them later on. This questioned the awareness level and security accuracy of the country. In a time where people know not to share their information or a system in other countries which is 24*7 protected by the officials got weak a few months back & major funds were stolen/taken. Spain is both the target and origin of attacks. The cybersecurity in Spain is extremely poor and weak, irrespective of how much developed and modern the country is, there will always be a risk of unsecured data which is confidential to the government & to the residents as well. Skilled force is needed to be appointed for controlling the rising cyber scam in the country.
