The Airbus develops the first ever Electric Airplane Race along with the Air Race E

Airbus Company recently told the press about their worldwide partnership with the Air Race E. This competition that has been set in place by the air race E is intended towards pushing the very initiative to make the process of adaption with the ever-increasing speeds, environmentally friendly technology along with the use of the tech that is most progressive and uses the advanced electric signals.

The first ever race of the electric planes would take place in the year 2020. This would eventually grow in a series of races that would take place every year all over the world. This competition would be including 8 electric-driven planes which would be competing against one another directly 10 meters above that of the ground and this would take place on a 5-kilometer circuit.

The Chief executive officer of the Air Race E, Mr. Jeff Zaltman discussed the scenario in the following words: “We couldn’t be happier or more optimistic for success with Airbus as our Official Founding Partner. This partnership is a significant milestone in the evolution of electric power in aviation. Together, we’re working to create a mainstream platform in which innovation in electric propulsion can be developed, nurtured, and accelerated more rapidly,”

The Air Race E is without any doubt the only association all over the world that is playing an enormous role in order to bring forth several components to ensure that a global electric airplane race could take place. The firm recently purchased the Air Race 1 series along with a list of other air place event that was high-profile.

The CTO of the Airbus, Mr. Grazia Vittadinig commented on this as follows: “We want to motivate manufacturers to showcase their technologies across the full spectrum of electric propulsion systems and components; this partnership enables us to demonstrate our commitment to staying at the leading edge of electric propulsion and developing a new ecosystem.”

The Airbus also has plans for collaboration with the University of Nottingham, for the development of newer technologies that bring innovation.
