Apple Incorporation has been making a different kind of changes to their Project Titan; this project aims towards the development and innovation for the autonomous vehicles. As the report that was published by CNBC, the giant in the tech industry, Apple Inc. has sacked over 200 employees that were actively working towards the development of this project. Despite these measures, the firm still has a high level of expectations about the productive chances and fruitful breaking in the self-directed tech in the years to come.
A spokesperson of Apple incorporation provided an explanation of this scenario as follows: “We have an incredibly talented team working on autonomous systems and associated technologies at Apple. As the team focuses their work on several key areas for 2019, some groups are being moved to projects in other parts of the company, where they will support machine learning and other initiatives, across all of Apple… We continue to believe there is a huge opportunity with autonomous systems, that Apple has unique capabilities to contribute, and that this is the most ambitious machine learning project ever.”
A couple of weeks ago in the same year, the firm took several crucial steps towards the development of vehicle technology. This was done through hiring the Vice President of Engineering at Tesla Incorporation, who is an Apple veteran as well, Mr. Doug Field. This layoff of the week is viewed as a means of the reconstruction of this Project Titan under the fresh leadership.
Out of all of the employees which were impacted due to this process of reconstructing, a few of those are shifting towards the other departments of the firm. The Chief executive officer of the Apple Incorporation, Mr. Tim Cook revealed how the firm is majorly focused upon the health and their focus revolves around that. He commented on this scenario and explained to CNBC by saying: “I believe, if you zoom out into the future and you look back, and you ask the question, ‘What was Apple’s greatest contribution to mankind?’ it will be about health,”
