The changing role of home appliances


Home appliances are something that are used to fulfill the basic needs of the households like the washing machine or the mixer/grinder or the microwave, each of these were designed to fulfill a particular purpose in the lives of humans and to facilitate our lives so that it can be used to do more productive work and earn more money to get better appliances apparently and the spiral continues. The latest development in the IoT segment have been a win-win for both the Industry that provides the support for such budding technological advancements and the people who have been dealing with this new tech to be more fruitful in their complex activities today as the norms have shifted and so have the needs and the roles/responsibilities of the working devices in the house.

A physics professor once said to me that the laziest of people in science is the most brilliant of creators and I took that note with a bucket load of salt as it was way beyond my scope of understanding then, but today when the times have changed, and everything is based upon internet and now to imagine those exact same words in the context of the game I could think of a lot of possibilities to relate to that statement, which is how the Industry has been shaping itself up to tackle the tasks it has to mitigate and counter in order to be effective in providing the services it intends to support.

The role of IoT in lives has shored up from a remote parking gate sensor to switching on the Air-conditioning units beforehand and doing much other such work which earlier could only be down physically and after a tiring day at work seemed like daunting task facing an uphill climb. The roles have changed in the days, and they will further correct themselves with time to collaborate with the future needs and desires of the people living in the world with technical advancements rampant in today’s times.
